India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract valued at $141 million to Abu Dhabi’s National Petroleum Construction Company for well platform project in Mumbai, the UAE company said on Monday.
The scope of work for the project involves the replacement of 10 wellhead platform topsides at Oil and Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) Mumbai High North (MHN) and South fields (MHS) around the West coast of India.
Out of the 10-wellhead platform topsides being targeted for replacement, four are on the MHN field and six are on MHS. The decommissioning and removal of the existing topside are part of the contract and overall project is scheduled to complete by April 30 2018.
NPCC has successfully executed several mega EPC projects for ONGC over the past three decades.
“Outside GCC, India is a key market for us and our long-term commitment to ONGC speaks for itself. As always, we will deliver this project to the highest standard and clients expectations,” Aqeel Madhi, chief executive of NPCC said.
