Oil industry manpower provider Swift Worldwide Resources, has opened a new office in the Kuwaiti city of Fahaheel.
This brings the total of Singapore-based Swift's offices in the world's centres of oil and gas to 23. The new office, located in the Ajial Mall Complex, will focus on placing oil sector engineers - such as mechanical engineers, structural engineers, corrosion engineers and piping engineers - along with skilled workers for refineries, tanks and oil pipelines.
"This is a great time for us to be in this area," said Swift CEO Tobias Read. "The local economy has stabilised since the worldwide recession, and with the increasing oil prices and a huge oil reserve, Kuwait is poised to introduce a lot of exciting projects."
Swift claims to have a database of 200,000 "skilled personnel, a dedicated contract and permanent recruitment division, a logistics infrastructure spanning the globe."
